Mistakes to avoid while taking a dip in the Kumbh: Some people bathe while wearing dirty, stained, and impure clothes, which is not considered auspicious. Doing so makes one a participant in sin. There are others who, after bathing, wash their dirty clothes in the Ganga River and use soap or detergent. This is a mistake that should never be made. It is not considered good, as it pollutes the sacred rivers, which is equivalent to committing a sin. Once you dip in the holy river and finish bathing, never wipe off the water from your body with any dirty or any kind of cloth. Allow the water to dry naturally. This is considered a form of devotion. If you see any helpless, poor, needy person, orphaned child, or elderly woman during the Kumbh, do not shout, curse, or scold them. Instead, help them with a donation before leaving. While taking a dip in the Kumbh, avoid harboring any feelings of animosity, negative thoughts, or speaking any offensive words. Instead, chant your Guru Mantras and meditate on your Guru. The Mahakumbh is a spiritually significant journey, where you should take the dip with faith, devotion, purity, and surrender. By avoiding these mistakes, you can make your journey pure and complete, and attain liberation from your sins.
