Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: Monalisa Bhonsle claims group of men forcefully entered her tent, attacked her brother

Monalisa ‘Moni’ Bhonsle, a young garland seller who gained internet fame during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj for her striking features and amber eyes, has accused a group of men of forcibly entering her tent to take pictures with her despite her refusal. The teenager from Indore claimed that after her brother intervened to delete the pictures from the men’s phones, he was allegedly attacked.

Since rising to fame due to her natural beauty, Monalisa has reportedly been followed by crowds at the Mela. In a video, she recounted her experience, telling News18, “Some men approached me, claiming my father had sent them to take pictures with me. I refused and told them that if my father had indeed sent them, they should go to him. I wouldn’t take pictures with them.”

Monalisa expressed her fear, saying, “I am scared. No one is here to help me. Anyone could harm me. There’s no electricity, and yet these people forced their way into my tent.”

She added that her father later arrived and denied sending anyone to her. “My father confronted them, shouting at them for entering my tent without permission. I even asked him if he had sent them, but he denied it,” Monalisa said.

The 16-year-old further explained that when her brother, protective and upset, tried to take their phones to delete the pictures, nine men allegedly attacked him.
