Today is the 13th day of the Maha Kumbh. So far, 10.80 crore people have taken a dip at the Sangam. On Saturday morning, a fire broke out near Sector-2 in the Maha Kumbh area, burning two vehicles. The fire brigade team that arrived at the scene managed to control the fire.
Fire officer Vishal Yadav stated that one vehicle caught fire, and a second vehicle parked nearby was also partially burned. The cause is still unclear. Earlier, on January 19, a gas leak from a cylinder caused a fire in Sector-19, burning 180 tents.
CM Yogi is arriving in Prayagraj again today. This will be his third visit since the start of the Maha Kumbh. He will review preparations for the Mouni Amavasya bath, with an estimated 8 to 10 crore people expected to attend.
Yogi will attend the Akhil Yogi Mahasabha, meet Kalyan Das Ji Maharaj (Amarkantak) at the Kalyan Seva Ashram, and participate in a saint’s conference at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad camp.
Given the massive crowds expected at the Kumbh, all schools up to class 8 in the urban areas of Prayagraj will remain closed from January 25 to February 3. Children will be taught online.
