Snapdragon X processors are designed for affordable PCs
Snapdragon India announced on Wednesday that it will soon launch its new Snapdragon X CPUs in India. First unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 last month, these chipsets are designed to compete with affordable offerings from other major companies like Intel and AMD. The Snapdragon X CPUs are expected to support artificial intelligence (AI) features, utilizing a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU). Qualcomm aims to have this new platform power laptops priced under $600 (approximately Rs. 51,400) globally, and a similar strategy may be adopted for the Indian market.
Snapdragon India revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that the launch of the Snapdragon X platform in India is set for February 24. While specific details about the processors are yet to be disclosed, the event has been titled “AI PCs for Everyone,” suggesting that the new CPUs could focus on delivering AI performance at an affordable price.
